Appeal a restricted or banned WhatsApp Business Account by submitting a review request through Meta. If you believe your account complies with WhatsApp policies, ask Meta to reassess the decision.
If your WhatsApp channel in Klaviyo shows Restricted or Banned, Meta has taken an enforcement action on your account. Klaviyo cannot override or influence Meta’s decisions.
Before you begin
Gather the information you will include in your appeal and confirm you can access Meta Business Portfolio.
Make sure you can sign in to Meta Business Portfolio.
Prepare your business details and documentation of opt-in consent.
Check the reason for your restriction
Confirm the official reason for the restriction in Meta Business Portfolio before you submit a review.
Log in to Meta Business Portfolio.
Navigate to WhatsApp Manager.
Select your affected WhatsApp Business Account.
Locate the alert banner at the top of the page indicating a policy issue.
Click the alert to view details about the violation.
Meta provides the official reason for enforcement actions. Klaviyo cannot override or influence Meta’s decisions.
Request a review in Meta
Submit a review in Meta Business Support if you believe your account complies with WhatsApp policies.
Go to Meta Business Support Home.
Select the relevant WhatsApp Business Account.
Choose the listed violation you want to appeal.
Click Request Review.
Enter supporting details about your business and how you use WhatsApp.
Click Submit.
After submission, your case moves to the In Review tab in Meta Business Portfolio.
