Learn how to export all of the people in your account by creating a segment of those profiles and exporting that segment to a CSV file. This CSV file will contain all profiles, regardless of subscription status.
Create a segment to export
The best way to export all people in your account is to create an all-inclusive segment.
- Navigate to the Lists & Segments tab.
- Click Create List/Segment.
- Click Segment.
- Create a segment with the following definition:
If someone can or cannot receive marketing > can receive > email marketing
OR
If someone can or cannot receive marketing > cannot receive > email marketing
- Click Create Segment.
If you'd prefer to export all non-suppressed profiles from your account, use the segment definition If someone can or cannot receive marketing > can receive > email marketing in step 4.
Never email this all-inclusive segment since it will contain people who have not opted in to receive emails from you. Emailing this segment can put your open rates and deliverability at risk.
Export to a CSV
Once this segment is populated, export the segment to a CSV file. To do so:
- Expand the Manage Segment dropdown.
- Select Export Segment to CSV.
The export will contain all people in your account at the time of export.
Only Klaviyo users with owner, admin, or analyst-level privileges can export CSVs. If you don’t see this option in the dropdown, ask an account admin or owner to upgrade your privileges or export the file for you.
